Two services in one visit.
A clogged South Florida gutter doesn’t just overflow — it dumps water against the fascia, soaks the soffit, and starts the rot cycle that costs five figures to fix. And the outside of the gutter, even when the inside is perfect, looks terrible: those black vertical streaks you see on every South Florida house aren’t dirt, they’re an electrochemical reaction between the aluminum and the algae growth from your roof rinse.
We fix both in one visit.
What’s in the cleaning portion.
- Roof-walk inspection. Photo every trough condition before we touch anything.
- Hand-clearing. Physical removal of leaves, palm seeds, roof grit, oak catkins. Bagged on the ground, hauled off.
- Downspout flush. Hose pressure run from the top of every drop — confirm flow at the bottom. If a downspout is blocked solid, we snake it.
- Splash block / discharge check. Walk the perimeter, confirm water leaves the house.
- Photo report. Before and after every gutter section, sent to your phone.
What’s in the brightening portion.
The black streaks on the exterior face are gloeocapsa magma metabolites bonded to oxidized aluminum. Pressure washing them does nothing — they’re chemically bonded.
Our brightening process:
- Hand-apply oxalic/sodium hydroxide blend with a soft brush
- 5–8 minute dwell
- Rinse, then neutralize
- Spot-check, re-treat heavy areas
The aluminum returns to a satin grey. It will not look “new” — that’s a coating, not cleaning — but the streaks disappear completely.

What we won’t do.
We don’t walk fragile roof systems to access gutters. If your roof is tile and the gutter is awkward to reach safely, we use a ladder set on the ground with stabilizers, even if it takes longer. Cracked tile costs more than the entire job.
